Basic formula
V x T x K = kcal/h
Before choosing your
heater you need to determine
the minimum power required
for your application
Key:
V = Volume of area to be heated
(width x length x height) in m
3
T - Difference between the
external temperature and the
desired internal temperature
(in
0
c)
K - Dispersion coefficient
V = Width 4mt, Length 12mt,
Height 3mt.
Volume of area to be
heated = 144 m
3
Example:
Thermal power required
144 x 23 x4= 13 248 kcal/h
(V x T x K = kcal/h)
1 kW = 860 kcal/h
1 kcal/h = 3.97 Btu/h
1 kW = 3.412 kcal/h
1 kcal/h = 0.252 Btu/h
Now you can choose the heater
which best suits your application.
K = This factor is determined
by the type of construction
and insulation
T = External temperature - 5

Formula for calculating heating requirements
Dehumidifiers can be used in a large number of applications but a dehumidifier has to have
appropriate power to fulfil its purpose. Read about ways to select the right dehumidifier and
use the efficiency calculator we developed for you.
Formula for calculating recommended air displacement of dehumidifier:
V x 3 = [m
3
/h]
(Lx W x H) x 3 = m
3
/h
Example: Accommodation:
Width: 4m
High: 4m
Length: 5m
V = 4 x 4 x 5 = 80 m
3
Recommended dehumidifier’s air displacement = 80 x 3 = 240 m
3
The smallest dehumidifier that you can use in that type of a room is DH721 with air displacement
of 240 m
3
/h. Choosing the bigger capacity dehumidifier can shorten the drying process.
Please remember that too quick drying can damage the dying surface,

Air Conditioning Cooling requirements
A STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO THE COOLING REQUIREMENTS
FOR THE AVERAGE OFFICE
Calculate the volume of the area to be cooled in cubic metres,
Width x Height x Depth and multiply this volume x 42. (This gives
the area requirements in Watts). N.B. If this area size is calculated
in cu ft., divide by 35 to give the size in cubic metres.
